PRESS RELEASE: Association of Former Liberia Law Enforcement Officers (AFLLEO) Hold Re-Organization Event

August 17-19 2012 Philadelphia, PA –

The Association of Former Liberia Law Enforcement Officers (AFLLEO)  is pleased to announce that  it has successfully concluded its first dinner and reorganization event in Philadelphia , the city of  ”brotherly love.”

The goal of this initiative, supported by the members and friends, is to  create an awareness in the Liberian communities in the Americas and at home (Liberia) and network with its international partners and help the government (Liberia) enhance the relationships with the various Security agencies.

The three-day event was attended by an array of former and present government officials including Liberian Ambassador accredited to the United States His Excellency Jeremiah C. Sulunteh, Honorable Charles Ebue King, former Director of Police for CID Affairs of the Liberia National Police, Honorable  Gayah M. Fahnbulleh, former Director of Public Safety at the Ministry of Justice of Liberia and Chair of the ruling Unity Party branch (UP) USA/Canada, Commander  Stephen T. Johnson of the Philadelphia Police Department and  heads and officials of the Liberian community of Philadelphia.

“OBJECTIVES”

The objective of this Association is to serve as a forum for reaching out to members and to render assistance to its members in time of sickness and life changing events.

  1. The Association shall promote and render charitable, social, educational, and public relief work in Liberia and communities where members reside.
  2. The Association shall establish fundraising events to accumulate funds to execute its objectives.
